Cutler Real Estate asked Susie a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Susie's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Miami University with a Major in Management and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Upon graduation, I worked in Retail Finance at the Abercrombie & Fitch Home Office in New Albany for six years. On a hunt for a more fulfilling role, I left the retail industry to help build Pelotonia, a non-profit that raises funds for cancer research. I spent eight years enjoying the entrepreneurial setting and sharing my passion for the cause before I chose to get my real estate license.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
In my prior career, my primary job was to be out in the community, building relationships, not sitting behind a desk. My genuine desire to help others and my authentic care for those I interact with inspires me to work hard every day. My entrepreneurial spirit and intrinsically motivated personality pairs perfectly with our industry. Becoming a Realtor felt like the perfect career choice when I was looking for my next challenge.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I spent my childhood in Dublin, purchased my first home in Grandview, and now live with my family in Upper Arlington. We love the strong sense of community and tradition, opportunities for involvement, high-ranking school system, ease of getting around the city, and like-minded neighbors that have come to be like family.
4. How do you spend your free time?
Most of my free time is spent surrounded by my family. If we are not attending one of our girls' many activities, we love to stay active outside with evening walks and bike rides or relaxing around our fire pit. When I find time alone, I enjoy tending to my garden and exercising. My husband and I love any excuse to socialize with family and friends, whether that be entertaining at our house or finding a fun adventure around the city.
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
Although not technically possessions, my husband, George, and twin daughters, Kennedy and Layne, would top the list. Anything beyond my family would be a bonus.
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
Hardworking
