1. What is your professional/educational background?
I have a BA degree from The Ohio State University in International Relations. Prior to real estate, I worked in Financial Services at Nationwide Insurance for 22 years and had my Ohio Life and Health License and my NASD Series 6. Since becoming Ohio Real Estate licensed, I have also obtained my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation and Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA).
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I can't explain that without explaining a little bit about my Mom. My Mom was magnetic. She was beautiful. She was perfect. And everyone that knew her, would agree. She rose to matriarch of our family in 2015 and she relished that title on top of her very favorite title, "Gma". In 2019, just a few short years into her retirement, she faced the evil that would take her from us only a short 10.5 weeks after her diagnosis. I became motherless in my 40's. Her loss made me realize one simple thing : life is too short. It was too short for me to continue ignoring what my heart was begging me to do - to make a career change. I discovered I could, and wanted to help people that, like my parents, were on the cusp of the second half of their life. I wanted to talk with people and make sure that their biggest investment was working for them and helping them achieve all their goals in retirement. Most importantly, I wanted to help people avoid the feeling that life was too short. Being in the right place with your property can open all kinds of opportunities. I want to help people find the opportunity!
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I am the fourth generation of my family to be born and raised in Grove City - ON BOTH SIDES. Grove City has all the amenities of a big city with all the feels of a small hometown. Grove City has a unique culture that makes it feel like everyone knows everyone; and often times do! We have direct access to many booming surrounding suburbs and cities and is a perfectly placed city within a perfectly placed state to get anywhere, fast!
4. How do you spend your free time?
With my family - immediate and/or extended.
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
My engagement/wedding ring, my mom's ashes, my passport, my phone and my animals
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
