Cutler Real Estate asked Cynthia a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Cynthia's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I am a 1986 graduate from Marlington High School I graduated with a Cosmetology license and worked as a beautician for 7 years. I managed retail for 7 years, then I opted for a career change and went to work for Hartville Meadows (GentleBrook). I have been working for GentleBrook for over 20 years (still there today). Working with adults with cognitive and physical disabilities.
I decided to go to college at age 29 to pursue a teaching degree. I attended Stark State (Kent branch) but finished my degree at Walsh University in 2006. I double majored with a bachelor's degree as an Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate-Moderate/Intensive). I am highly qualified in Reading & Math. I went back to Kent State University to get a TTW (Transition to Work Endorsement). I worked for the Stark County Board Of Disabilities for 7 years.
I am employed full-time at Green Local Schools- I am an Intervention Specialist and have been with the district for 14 years. I am running our School to Work Program for students with disabilities, writing our scholarship IEP's and consulting with students on a weekly basis to make sure their needs are being met within the classroom.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I have always been interested in Real Estate. I decided that I would like to get started in Real Estate for when I retire from teaching. I would like to have a career that I can continue to enjoy.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I live in Uniontown, OH. I love my home and my community.
4. How do you spend your free time?
I love to spend time with my daughter. I love walking at parks and going to Sugarcreek for little getaways at Briarwood cabins.
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
