Cutler Real Estate asked Barbara a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Barbara's replies.

1. What is your professional/educational background?

  • Graduated from Texas State University, San Marcos Texas. Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising/Business Administration.
  • Have been in retail for my entire career life. I have been at Lbrands for 30 years. Many different roles - Executive Assistant/Project Management, Human Resources, Store Management.

2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?

I have always had an interest in Real Estate but never felt the timing was right until now.

3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?

I live in Gahanna. It has been great raising a family in the Gahanna area. All of our children enjoyed growing up in Gahanna and did very well in the school system and the community. Gahanna is a great location with convenient access to the airport, Easton, downtown, etc.

4. How do you spend your free time?

Going out to dinner with my husband and close friends, spending time with my 2 sisters that live in Columbus. I like to garden, enjoy working out. My husband and I enjoy going to Farm Markets, Art Shows, Broadway productions, and we love to travel.

5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?

  1. Pictures of my Family
  2. Wedding ring
  3. Personal items my deceased Mom gave me
  4. & 5. My dogs

6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?

Barb was super friendly, easy going and well versed in the home buying process. Barb is hands down the best realtor we have ever worked with. We relocated from GA to OH and she made the process so easy for us. We were worried that it would be really stressful, but Barb ensured it wasn’t. She had no problem driving out to the houses we wanted to look at for FaceTime tours at short notice. Her advice on what we should offer is what helped us land our dream home! She was very responsive and reached out to us constantly to provide us with updates. I would definitely recommend Barb to other people seeking to sell a house. This was an estate sale and her advice in how much to do or not do with the house was valuable. She was very responsive always and helped me navigate through the sale process including dealing with a difficult appraisal.
